In January 2014 we packed our gear and took part in the DIY Bio Lounge in the ArtLaboratoryBerlin hosted by RĂ¼diger Trojok. While exchanging our experience with Vibrio Fischerii we also heard interesting talks about open source antibiotics and discussed how an open drug discovery process could look like. In a fascinating dark room installation we admired fluorescent bacteria that the Berlin biohackers extracted directly from fresh squid and fish.
The group from Open Biolab Graz presented their awesome OpenSource Bioreactor.
The DIY Bio Lounge attracted curious people of all ages.
Of course the highlight of the day were the molecular cocktails served in the end.
